Personal Thoughts

Kaijin Sally is one of those bands that I've liked everything I've been exposed to but god is it to hard to find stuff of theirs, especially in physical copies (from my understanding, they tend to do VERY limited runs). I saw this DVD for sale and having absolutely no idea what was inside, I bought it...!

I can't say I know what to say about this DVD. The intro is strange and then it just leads into a long talk segment. My Japanese is nowhere near good enough to understand 95% of what's being said-- something or the other about Kamen Rider at one point but that's about it.

Around an hour in and still not knowing what most of this is even about, in a way, I think it made me a bit nostalgic. The low production value of it all reminded me of early YouTube. The label started in the 00s, so it makes sense there's a carry over. In a way, it became a little charming to see these guys ramble on. I still did not really know what was going on.

The last part of this video-- about 2m30s, is actually a live performance that absolutely rocks from the start. If nothing else, for me, this little section is worth it all because it absolutely rules.

Though, at the end of the day, I do think this whole DVD is better watched one day when my Japanese listening skills are a hell of a lot better.
