We talk to newly formed band, YUKIO, at their recent gig at ○○○○○ on December 27th.
– What prompted you to form a band?
Yukio: Babes.
– Babes...?
Yukio: Mm-hmm. Oh, I was told I had a good voice too for music.
– What about your backing members? Why did you guys join?
Nozomu: I thought he had a good voice. It was pure chance I came across his ad for bandmates on the street.
Eiichi: I’ve played bass for years now, and I just got fired from my job. Yukio-san is also really charming and has a great vision.
– So, you guys didn’t know each other before this?
Nozomu: Not at all. All I had to go off of was a strange ad.
Yukio: It wasn’t strange.
Nozomu: It was hard to read.
Yukio: Woof.... Eiichi-kun, did you have issues reading it?
Eiichi: Er... No, of course not.
– Has it been hard to come together as a band?
Yukio: No. Not at all. I’m very fond of both of them.
Nozomu: As with any interaction, you have to sense the rhythm of people. It’s taken me a while to understand Yukio-san’s, but once I did, it’s been very easy to work with him creatively.
Eiichi: I just follow Yukio-san’s instructions.
